Privacy
Pseudonymous, not magic. Here's exactly what happens.
What we store
- An anonymous session created in your browser. It has an internal ID that is never shown publicly.
- A random public pseudonym (like SaltyPigeon0420) shown on your posts.
- Your posts, reactions and reports, linked to that internal ID.
- A salted one-way hash of your IP address, used only for rate limiting.
Who sees what
- The public sees approved posts, pseudonyms and total reaction counts. Nothing else.
- Who reacted, who reported, moderation notes and status of unapproved posts are never public.
- Moderators can see moderation details and reports, but not your internal ID or IP.
- The people running the service can technically access the database.
The honest limits
- Your session lives in this browser. Clear site data, switch devices or use private browsing and you get a fresh identity — you can no longer see the status of old posts, and we can't link them back to you.
- That also means a determined person can get a new session; rate limits are per session and per network, not bulletproof.
- Deleting browser data does not delete your posts from our database. Approved posts stay until a moderator removes them.
- Don't post anything that identifies you if you need real anonymity — writing style and details can give you away.
